"I HOPE YOU WILL SAVOUR THE THERAPEUTIC NATURE OF THIS BEAUTIFUL COASTLINE, WHILE ENJOYING THE COMFORT AND STYLE OF OUR BEACH HOUSE, AND THE ART AND CRAFTSMANSHIP WITHIN"

“Art washes from the soul the dust
of everyday life.”

Pablo Picasso

Beach House Brancaster has been restored to more than just a coastal holiday let - designed by Norfolk by Design curator Davina Barber, it has been furnished and decorated with work by Norfolk artists and makers. From the lighting and the furniture to the fabrics, ceramics and artwork, almost everything you see will have been lovingly made for the house by our stable of local artists and craftsmen. You can buy or commission the work that you see within the house, or look for something similar from our online store.

"The combination of art and nature is, for me, hugely restorative"

Davina Barber

The house was built in 2002 along within a development of six houses and converted barns right in the centre of Brancaster, but set well back from the busy coast road and just a 15 minute walk to the endlessly long sandy beach. The house itself is of traditional construction with chalk faced and brick elevations under clay pan-tiled roofs and provides well proportioned, sunlit rooms. The decent sized rear garden is walled and private. Facing South-West, the terrace is great for daytime sun and sunset drinks, with a view looking towards the medieval village Church with its square tower. Additionally there is plenty of private parking, a double garage and boat store.

ENTRANCE HALL – boot and coat storage (with a perfect spot for a dog bed).

SITTING ROOM – comfortable sofa and armchairs with a log burner and Sky TV.

DINING  – a 12 seater table set within the open plan kitchen with direct access to the garden and terrace for al fresco dining (with another 12 seater Fermob outdoor table and chairs).

KITCHEN -  Naked Kitchen cabinetry and quartz work surfaces, including an island with breakfast bar. A 5 hob Rangemaster electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, large fridge & freezer.

UTILITY ROOM – washer, dryer, traditional Sheila maid for wet clothing, and sink with prep area.

OTHER AMENITIES - WiFi throughout, bluetooth speaker, central heating.
